Talbot County families should not have to drive across the bay for basic care. Susan will work to strengthen the county health department, support recruitment and retention of local primary care and behavioral health providers, and protect emergency and senior services that rural communities depend on.
Education
As a former Board of Education president, Susan knows where county funding meets classroom reality. She will push for full-day pre-K access, competitive pay for teachers and staff, career and technical pathways, and honest county-level partnership with our schools.
Accountability
Budgets, permits, and planning decisions should be understandable before they are final. Susan will push for clear public notice, accessible meeting materials, and county spending decisions that residents can follow from proposal to vote.
Resources
Our creeks, farms, and working waterfront are the county's economy as much as its scenery. Susan supports thoughtful growth that respects the comprehensive plan, upgrades to aging septic and stormwater systems, and shoreline resilience against rising water.
Together
Talbot needs homes working families can afford, employers that pay well, and reliable broadband in every corner of the county. Susan will tie these together so that people who grew up here can build a life here.
